Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” It’s a powerful encouragement to stay faithful in loving others, serving God, and living out our faith—even when the results aren’t immediate.

This verse reflects our journey to launch a First Priority club at Parkway Middle School. After a few years of inactivity, Mike, our Broward Assistant Director, made it his mission to reestablish a club on campus. His efforts began in March 2024, with months of emails, visits, and persistence. Finally, in August, he had the opportunity to meet with the school principal and share the vision of First Priority.

In January, the principal graciously allowed Mike a few minutes during the staff meeting to introduce First Priority and share its mission.

In that staff meeting, something incredible happened. A teacher, known as “Ms. Sunshine,” was in the room and felt an immediate connection. She later shared with Mike that she could hardly contain her emotions—this was exactly what she had been praying for. She called it her “God-given assignment” to help bring a faith-based initiative to the school.

After much prayer and preparation, Parkway Middle School’s First Priority club officially launched on January 29, 2025, and has been meeting weekly ever since!

This story is a testament to God’s faithfulness and the power of perseverance. When we continue to do good—even when obstacles arise—God moves in His perfect timing. Let this be a reminder to keep pressing forward, knowing that He is always at work, preparing the harvest.
