Say: One of the greatest questions that humans have struggled with over the years is simple and yet profound. “Why am I here?” Or we may ask “What is the meaning of life?” When we share with our friends about the Gospel, chances are they have wondered this before in one way or another.
The purpose of our life is far greater than our own pleasure or even our happiness. If we want to know why we were placed on this planet, we must begin with God. We were created by Him and for His purpose. The Bible tells us that all of life is in God’s control, He gives us the ability to walk, talk and even breathe.
“For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being” -Job 12:10
We can’t discover our life’s meaning by looking within ourselves. We didn’t create ourselves, so there is no way we can tell ourselves what we were created for without looking to God. He is not just the starting point of our life; He is the source of it. To discover our purpose in life we must turn to God’s Word, not the world’s wisdom.
The Bible tells us that we were created to be in relationship with God. Life is all about Jesus! We were created to live in relationship with Him from the very beginning! This is what we were made for and so this is what can bring us the most joy and fulfillment. When we have a loving and trusting relationship with Jesus, we find joy in the Lord and He guides us in His plan for our life. The greatest part of all of this is that we can fully trust God to know what will fulfill us and make us happy because He is the one who created us.
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” -Psalms 139:13-16
Every moment of our lives was known by the Lord before it took place. When we understand that God knows us better than we know ourselves, we can trust Him to reveal His plan for our lives to us as we seek to get closer to Him. So what is the meaning of life? To know Jesus in a close personal way, and to follow His will for us. Life is all about Jesus! We were created to live in relationship with Him from the very beginning and so nothing else in life will ultimately satisfy us.

3 Crowns Training (9mins)
Say: Did anyone get a chance to share 3Crowns this week?
If so let them share their experience for a moment.
Say: Let’s watch the 3 Crowns Gospel Presentation again! Then we will practice sharing about the meaning of life with our friends as we share 3 Crowns.
Open the 3 Crowns page on the website www.firstpriority.cc/3crowns
Show 3 Crowns Gospel Presentation
Say: Lets break into pairs, everyone make sure you have a blank piece of paper and a pencil. Imagine that your partner is a friend who has never heard the Gospel. Take turns and practice sharing the 3 Crowns Gospel Presentation with your partner, focus on sharing WHO God is!
Given them a few minutes to practice.
In-Prayer Time (5mins)
Handout the prayer cards and have the student list five names of school friends that they know are not Christians.
Say: Fill out these cards with the names of five friends who you know don’t know Jesus. If you talk to God about your friends, you are more likely to talk to your friends about God. We are going to spend a few minutes praying for these friends that they would come to Proclaim Week to hear the GOSPEL and that the Lord would work on their hearts and reveal Himself to them!
Take a couple minutes to allow the students to pray for their friends.
Planning Time (5mins)
Say: What are some things we can do to make next week’s Proclaim Week the most effective it can be! Remember we want to invite our friends to “come and see” Jesus!
Let students share a few ideas.
Ex: (Create videos inviting friends to Proclaim week and text/snap/insta/tweet them out right there)
Say: It is important to invite our friends to come out next week to hear the GOSPEL! We will have a party with food and games for them to enjoy. During the party –SPEAKERS NAME- will share the GOSPEL in a clear way and give your friends the opportunity to make a decision to follow Jesus!
Prepare the students for next week’s Proclaim Week. Make sure there are posters up and an announcement submitted to be made over the pa/tv or however announcements are communicated at your school. (The teacher sponsor can help with this).
Display announcement slides
Say: We have lots of different church options if you don’t have a home church check out the ones here on the screen. If you don’t see your church listed let me know. We will see you next week at Equip Week! We are excited to have you join us as we discuss the question of “What is Truth?” Be sure to be there… and feel free to invite some friends!
