Game Day was ready to launch at Park Ridge in early 2020. The final meeting to discuss the kickoff was on March 9th, 2020. Just one week later, our world was faced with a global pandemic and schools were shut down. Game Day and Grace Baptist made a quick pivot to offer Virtual Clubs and it was a success! They continued to pray that once schools reopened, their Game Day club could begin to meet.
That day finally came, almost 19 months later, on October 7, 2021. It was a great kick off meeting. The students had a great time playing outside and when they returned inside, they were engaged in the compassion message and had a chance to role play what compassion could look like in their everyday life.
After many months of prayer, when the gospel message was presented, all 17 students present were receptive to the gospel message and they all made decisions for Christ! God is so faithful!
