Miami Sunset High School’s First Priority club may have relaunched quietly in January, but what followed was anything but small. Rather than being discouraged by a slow start in the first half of the school year, the faculty sponsor, a dedicated club mentor who also serves as a local youth pastor, and the student leaders chose to be intentional. They gathered, prayed, planned, and asked a simple but powerful question: How can we make the club more visible and inviting on campus?

Their answer wasconnection. With pizza, juice, and chips in hand, they showed up—ready to serve, ready to listen, and ready to invite. That intentional moment of presence sparked something big. More than 100 students signed up to learn more about the club, proof that persistence paired with purpose makes room for God to move.

Miami Sunset’s club may have started small, but it is mighty. Fueled by faith, leadership, and a refusal to give up, this team is planting seeds that will continue to grow. We are excited and expectant for what’s ahead as this club boldly steps into its next chapter.
