“A 17-year-old senior jumped from a third-floor balcony to his death at Fort Lauderdale High School on Thursday morning, stunning classmates and staff who witnessed the efforts to save him.” Headlines across Broward County shared of the tragic loss at Fort Lauderdale High School October 6th, 2022.
On Tuesday, October 11, Fort Lauderdale High’s First Priority Club met during both lunches to bring a message of Hope during this tragic time. In total, 150 students attended and 19 raised their hands to accept Jesus as their Savior. A member of our team was on campus and said the students were very somber and there was an air of depression on the campus, but in the midst of it all, First Priority was there, to bring the Hope and Light of Christ.
“We didn’t just give out pizza,” Broward Director, Luke Still said, “We gave Hope as well.”
Before the club, a boy approached our mentor and myself and asked ‘Why Christianity and not another religion?’
After explaining in a brief description he decided to stay for club. At the end of club he made the decision to accept Christ today!”
Thanks for the encouragement. To God be the Glory
